Deepika Padukone’s Padmaavat has already entered the 200 crore club and is now inching towards Rs 250 crore.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat had already entered the 200 crore club after its second weekend. And now the Deepika Padukone starrer is inching towards Rs 250 crore. The film experienced around 75% growth on its third Saturday making the box-office figures rise a bit more.
The film had already entered the Rs 100 crore club after its first week. The overall collection of the film in its first week was around Rs 159.5 crore. And the second week got an equally good response which made Padmaavat enter the Rs 200 crore club.
The overall collections of the second week were around Rs 64.75 crore.
The film is currently in its third week and is still going steady at the box-office. The third Friday grossed Rs 3.5 crore. And surprising everyone, the film showed a huge growth on Saturday with the business of Rs 6.25 crore.
This can be considered as a very good business done by the film, knowing that Akshay Kumar’s Pad Man has also hit the screens.
After the third Saturday, the film’s grand total collections are Rs 233.97 crore!
SLB’s film is also now being screened in a few theatres of Madhya Pradesh, which will contribute a little more to its collection. Also, there are a few holidays coming up this week. So, the film might face a good weekdays business.
Padmaavat might collect around Rs 30 crore in its third week. And can reach the mark of Rs 275 crore overall.
Talking about the film, after much delays it was released on January 25, this year. It stars Deepika Padukone as Queen Padmini, Ranveer Singh as ALauddin Khilji and Shahid Kapoor as Rana Rawal Ratan Singh.
