Virat Kohli And Anushka Sharma Look Like A Royalty In Sabyasachi Outfits For Their Wedding Reception

They say that some couples are made in heaven and it holds absolutely true for the recently wedded dream couple of Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma when they took the whole nation by storm as they got married to each other in Milan, Italy.

They looked regal and pitch-perfect together as we saw the photos from various functions like sangeet, mehandi, haldi, engagement and finally the wedding. It could easily be said that the happiness generated across everyone when they saw the wedding photos was immense and unparalleled.

I don’t think Indian brides feel complete without wearing the colour red in one of their functions. Anushka decided to wear red on her reception. And much to my absolute delight, it would be a red Benarasi saree. From the by-lanes of Peeli Kothi in Benaras. I was particularly excited about this look because I have seen an entire generation of Bengali women getting married in red Benarasi sarees. The red bindi, the sindoor and the mogras in her hair just made the look more potent and powerful. She chose to wear heritage uncut diamond choker and jhumkas from the Sabyasachi Bridal Jewelry collection. Bollywood can play a major role in spreading awareness about Indian textiles and handlooms. And I must say the occasion couldn’t be better. I know copies of this saree will flood the entire country in the next few months to come, which also means that a million weaver’s children will be back at school. All I can say is thank you Anushka! Virat chose to complement his new bride in a very subtle and elegant manner. He wore a black textured silk signature bandhgala with the house buttons in 18k gold and a white silk kurta with hand-woven brocade churidaar. He teamed it with mojris from the Sabyasachi accessories line and a hand-embroidered antique Pashmina shawl from our ‘Kashmir Revival’ project. @anushkasharma @virat.kohli @bridesofsabyasachi @groomsofsabyasachi @tajdiplomaticenclave For all jewellery related queries, kindly contact sabyasachijewelry@sabyasachi.com #Sabyasachi #TheWorldOfSabyasachi #SabyasachiJewelry #AnushkaSharmaViratKohliReception #Virushka #AnushkaSharma #ViratKohli

The power couple of Virushka soon announced that they will be throwing their wedding reception in New Delhi which will have guests like Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of the nation himself.

And it happened today as they are busy celebrating their happiness with their close friends and family in the capital city in a lavish reception. The leggy lass and the sport stud looked like a true royalty together as they again chose to wear their favourite designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s outfits.

Defining what a dreamy couole looks like, Virushka made a perfect picture together where Anushka opted a red Benarasi saree with a red bindi and hair combed up in mogras along with a diamond choker & jhumkas which completed her bridal look. Coming to the handsome bridegroom, Virat went for a black textured silk signature Bandhgala with 18K house buttons pairing it with a white silk kurta and completed the look with hand-woven brocade Churidar. Finishing the look with mojris from the same label and a hand-embroidered Pashmina shawl, Kohli looked elegant and suave.

While we still can’t wait for their starry Mumbai reception, let’s celebrate their big night once again and keep looking at those oh-so-lovely pictures!
