The long drawn out drought seems to be clearing out now that Judwaa 2 releases with an opening of around 35-40% at most places which the advance had hinted at already.
Though it’s already started off with quite a good opening, it’s best at multiplexes outside metros in places like Jaipur and Indore, well it seems this is one film that attracts most of the family crowds, as well. Even the single screens have had a good Kickstarter with this one, the opening is better than the last film of Varun Dhawan Badrinath Ki Dulhania, though that as well did good enough at the box office.
Though it’s garnering quite the collections throughout the country, its weakest market seems to be East India but of course, the holidays for Puja will give the film a good push.
Meanwhile, the big south film, Spyder, has done quite the opposite of its expectations, though it has been taken quite well in Nizam / Andhra , Judwaa 2 has also opened very well in Marathwada, and there is a great probability that it may notch up too 75 lakhs net in Nizam / Andhra. This proves that a film has the capability of getting audience only when it garners attention through entertainment and live upto their expectations to be the real winner!
Across the country, the holidays have spurred on the collections of this comedy commercial remake. Judwaa 2 has benefitted a lot from the festive season holidays, even though Spyder has taken away few of its screens, it has managed to make a great opening day collection. The best pick-up has been from the areas of Delhi/UP as there has been a huge boost to the movie with its collections crossing 4 crore nett. In the East side, West Bengal though has the weakest circuit, the movie has considerable collection due Durga Puja holidays. Judwaa 2 has had a great collection of about 15.50 cr nett, which makes one of the best scorer for a Varun Dhawan solo starrer. Judwaa 2 is the fourth largest opening day collection after Bahubali -2, Tubelight and Raees.
