Box Office: Badrinath Ki Dulhania Is Biggest Opener For Varun Dhawan Worldwide And Overseas

Badrinath Ki Dulhania is garnering all kinds of positive reviews and its all thanks to its powerful content and the entertainment balanced so well. It has become the second best opener in 2017 after Raees. The estimated figures will be around 12.25 Crore gross. Raees had the highest opening with 20.29 Crore nett and Jolly LLB 2 had 12.06 Crore nett.
While the estimates look really positive, the edge by which it will overshadow Jolly LLB 2’s collection is quite narrow.
Since the movie is medium budget film, 12 Crore nett is quite a good figure on the day 1. Raees and Jolly LLB 2 both were higher budget movies.

Talking about the Overseas Business

The overseas business of the movie is approx $2.50 million, the worldwide total will be close to 75 Crore. Its absolutely amazing for Varun Dhawan as it will overshadow his last ABCD 2 opener which was 72 Crore.

The film is performing really well as in US/Canade and UK, the bigger star releases Jolly LLB 2 and Kaabil were left behind in the race as Badrinath Ki Dulhania secured the second biggest opener position in the year 2017. The collection is around $825,000 in US/Canada beating Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 2 while in UK it has collected around £200,000 beating Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil.

The collection is slightly lower in the Gulf areas compared to Kaabil and Jolly LLB 2. Raees still remains the top opener in every market. Badrinath Ki Dulhania stands as good as Jolly LLB 2 which has  $2.53 million and Kaabil grossed around $2.37 million.

Here’s a Break down of Varun Dhawan’s movie opening amount in Overseas Market:

1. Badrinath Ki Dulhania – $2.50 million apprx
2. Dishoom – $1.97 million
3. ABCD 2 – $1.45 million
4. Badlapur- $1.05 million
5. Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania – $1.04 million
