Nothing is ever important from your self esteem. When you want others to respect yourself it’s important that you value & respect yourself. 1) Feel good about yourself, Start a compliment jar:
Compliment jar is something which can help to raise your self esteem. Every month start writing something positive & good about yourself. It can be your singing ability or your liking for your hair. Any compliment or good thing about you can prove really helpful. At the end of the month start reading the positive things you have written about yourself & start reflecting on them.
2) Feel happy for the things you have:
Low self esteem is the problem because most often you give importance to the things that are not under your control or whose outcome is unpredictable in present. In such case the only thing is feel happy for the things you have & stop saying negative things such as ‘I am not talented’, ‘I can’t do anything’. Positivity is the key to high self esteem.
