Shah Rukh Khan has always been a popular star in the International circuit despite his films working or not in the domestic market. His disappointments like “Fan” and “Dilwale” have worked wonders for him in the Overseas, the later being his highest grosser in the Overseas market till date.
The five extended weekend was amazing for Shah Rukh Khan as “Raees” minted Rs 93.24 crores. “Raees” dipped by 50% on its first Monday but managed to make its mark on Tuesday with staggering Rs 109.01 crores in India in just 7 days (gross is equal to Rs 152.61). “Raees” has been doing exceptionally well in the Overseas market where “Raees” had already collected an approximate of Rs $9.2 Million estimate (Rs 62.56 Crore crores) in just 5 days of its release. This brings to the overall gross of Rs 215.17 crores. With this total, “Raees” defeated Salman Khan’s “Ek Tha Tiger” which earned Rs 205 crores and Hrithik Roshan’s “Bang Bang” which earned Rs 200 crores in their respective first week.
The Shah Rukh Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Mahira Khan starrer “Raees” is creating waves all over the world. The action-drama is completely unstoppable and it is coming in form of solid box office collections. Raees also became the 2017’s first film to cross the 100 crores mark at domestic box office.
