“Dangal” closed its first week collection on a grand note. The Aamir Khan was mind blowing both in terms of box office and reviews.
Aamir Khan given 100 % success rate during the Christmas time starting from “Ghajni”, “Taare Zameen Par”, “3 Idiots”, “Dhoom 3”, “PK” and now “Dangal”. The film is growing from strength to strength and refuses to come down. The collections hardly fell on Thursday as compared to the Wednesday collection. There was a slight drop of around 10% bringing the earnings to around Rs 18-20 crores and a grand total of Rs 194 -196 crores (final numbers to be updated). The wrestling drama is keeping its head high above the heel in places like Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and UP due to the tax-free status. Since the word of mouth is extremely positive, the single screen theaters have started performing with no demonetization effect.
On its Day 7, “Sultan” dropped by more than 50% minting Rs 12.92 crores bringing a total of Rs 209.17 crores. While “Sultan” was released in 4350 screens all over, “Dangal” has been released in 4300 screens pan India. Both films have enjoyed a positive reviews from the audience with “Dangal” is showered with more praises. While “Dangal” carries a budget is Rs 75 crores, “Sultan” carried a budget of Rs 110 crores.
