The four days collections were good enough to put “Dangal” in spotlight by becoming the third highest grosser of 2016 beating Akshay Kumar’s “Airlift” which earned a lifetime collection of Rs 129 at the domestic box office.
As per early trade estimates, the morning show occupancy of “Dangal” is pretty good as compared to the Monday collections dipping only by 5-10% show. The wrestling drama is keeping its head high above the heel in places like Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and UP due to the tax-free status. Since the word of mouth is extremely positive, the single screen theaters have started performing with no demonetization effect. The business is supposed to escalate by evening and night shows which could end for another collections more than Rs 20 crores.
With four days collections standing at Rs 132.43 crores, the total five days collections should be good enough for “Dangal” to cross Rs 150 crores milestone making it fastest film along with “Sultan”, “Dhoom 3” and “PK” to achive that feat.
