Universal Pictures released a new video revealing the title for the eight Fast & Furious movie, which we now know as The Fate of the Furious.
The cast of the film will be present for a live trailer debut event on December 11 which will be streamed through Facebook! Yay.
After the success of Furious 7, which was one of the fastest movies to reach $1 billion worldwide in box-office history and the sixth biggest global title of all time, comes the eight installment and the newest chapter in the most popular motion-picture series: The Fate of the Furious.
Dom and Letty are now on their honeymoon and Brian and Mia have retired from the game, and with the rest of the group exonerated, the worldwide crew has finally found some of the normalcy of a quiet and peaceful life. But when a mysterious woman (Oscar winner Charlize Theron) coerces Dom back into the world of crime that he can’t seem to escape completely, along with the betrayal of those closest to him, they will face trials and tribulations like those of never before.
From the shores of Cuba to the streets of New York, all the way to the icy plains of the arctic Barents Sea, the team will go through many different countries and obstacles in an effort to stop a man from unleashing an anarchist agenda all over the world and also bring back the person that made them into one family.
In the eight installment, Vin Diesel is joined by the returning cast of Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jason Statham, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Nathalie Emanuel, Elsa Pataky and Kurt Russell. As well as adding Theron to the cast, the movie also welcomes newcomers Scott Eastwood and Oscar winner Helen Mirren (what the f**k even?).
The film hits theaters on April 14, 2017.
